Privacy and cookie policy

TompAero SAS is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and French Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on information technology, data files and civil liberties. This page explains what data we process, why, and how to exercise your rights.

Data controller

Data processed and purposes

• Your messages. This site has no form: you write to us by email, at one of the addresses on the Contact page. We then process the information you give us (identity, organisation, role, contact details, content of your message) to reply to your request and follow up. Legal bases: pre-contractual steps taken at your request, and TompAero’s legitimate interest in replying to its business contacts (Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Technical logs. As with any website, the hosting provider (and its delivery network) records in technical logs the IP address, date and time, requested page and browser type of each visit. Purposes: security, abuse prevention and proper operation of the site. Legal bases: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and the legal retention obligation that applies to hosting providers.
• What we do not do. No audience measurement, no advertising, no profiling and no embedded social media content: we collect no browsing data for analytics.

Retention periods

Messages and correspondence: three years at most from the last contact, then deletion. Technical logs: twelve months at most, the period the law requires of hosting providers.

Recipients and hosting

Your data is intended only for authorised TompAero staff. It is processed on our behalf by our technical providers: the site’s hosting provider, Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL (Luxembourg), which also operates the Amazon CloudFront delivery network, and our email provider. We neither sell nor rent any data. The site’s content is stored in the European Union; to speed up delivery, the network may serve pages from servers outside the Union, under AWS’s contractual safeguards (standard contractual clauses, Data Privacy Framework).

Cookies and trackers

This site sets no cookies and uses no trackers for audience measurement, advertising or profiling. It therefore shows no consent banner.

One feature uses your browser’s storage: on the “How it works” page, your choice to show or hide two information panels is kept for the duration of your visit, in session storage (sessionStorage). This choice stays on your device, is never sent to our servers and disappears when you close the tab. It is a display setting that you control yourself, and is exempt from consent.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict the processing of, object to the processing of and port your data, and to set instructions for what happens to your data after your death. To exercise them, write to contact@tompaero.com: we reply within one month.

If, after contacting us, you believe your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés, 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France, www.cnil.fr).
